Why Visit Philippines? – Top Reasons Unfold

“It’s more fun in the Philippines!” – This is the slogan that the country uses in the hopes of attracting more tourists in the country. According to an article in The Huffington Post, there is no single word that can sum up the Philippines, but there are several reasons to visit it. Here are some of them:

The People

People in here are ever ready to welcome tourists with their big smiles. This is one of the most hospitable countries in the world. Filipinos are generally kind, loving, welcoming, and respectful. Just visit a home and they would be ready to offer you snacks. They are one of the nations that value family relationships – it’s very common for families to take care of their elders.

The Culture

The country is divided into several islands. This could also be the reason why there are different ethnic groups in the country, making their culture very diverse. They also have many dialects apart from their main language. While this may be so, you won’t have trouble getting directions because this is an English speaking country.

The Weather

Philippines is a tropical country. The weather is generally warm and it’s always a nice time to visit. They do have rains from June to October but these don’t last really long, except when there are typhoons. The best time to visit is from November to May.

The Food

Although you may have never heard about a famous Filipino restaurant in your own country, this does not necessarily mean that the Philippines does not serve delicious food. It’s just that theirs is a mixture of different influences – Chinese, Malay, American, Italian, and Japanese. Some of their famous foods include halo-halo, balut, adobo, barbeque, and so much more.

The Beaches

Philippines is famous for Boracay (New Balance even has a shoe design named after it). But, this is not the only nice beach in the country. Well, it has more than 7,000 islands. Beaches are everywhere! Some of the more famous ones are located in Pagudpud, Subic, Pangasinan, Palawan, Cebu, Puerto Galera, and Davao.

The Transportation

There is a type of public transportation that you may only get to see in the Philippines – the famous Jeepney. This is the Filipino’s take on the American Jeep with the added twist of fancy ornaments and extra lights. You might be able to see people riding on the roof if you happen to visit the province.
